Is it possible to build E-commerce on WEB 3.0?
E-commerce has become a part of modern human life, thanks to the presence of Ecommerce, all buying and selling activities are easier, instant and can be done anywhere, even I am very sure that all of you are greatly helped by the presence of E-commerce. but what happens if someone build online shop (E-commerce) on WEB 3.0?
What is WEB 3.0?
I understand you are familiar with WEB 3.0 because BULB is WEB 3.0.
Web3 is an umbrella term for technologies, such as blockchain, that decentralize ownership and control of data on the internet. blockchain plays an important role in web 3 technologies, such as BULB on the Solana blockchain.
Is it possible?
Now it's time to get into the main topic of discussion, can E-commerce be built in web 3? the answer is very possible. but it will require a process that is not short, because web 3 technology is still quite foreign to most people.
several problems that must be faced if you want to build E-commerce on the web3 :
1, people are still unfamiliar with web 3
web 3 is still considered unfamiliar by people, as we know, people are still very comfortable with web2 if someone builds E-commerce on web 3 it seems that there will be little interest (for now).
2, using web 3 is the same as using blockchain
if you interact with Dapps on web 3 you must have a wallet that supports blockchain whether EVM, SOLANA or IBC, in other words, if a layman wants to interact with web 3 E-commerce, that person must understand what blockchain and crypto, they must also understand what network interaction, blockchain signatures and gasfee.
but building Ecommerce on WEB 3.0 has many advantages and a huge market potential :
1, Great Opportunity
if building Ecommerce on the WEB 3 the market range is very wide, and it is not limited by one region, people from any country can buy goods from any country, maybe the only obstacle is the shipping cost.
2, Easy
If building Ecommerce on web 3 means that every transaction that occurs will use crypto, it makes it easier for us especially if you want buy products from other countries. For example, if you want to buy goods from China, you have to access online shop in China, and of course you must have Yuan, whereas if you use Ecommerce web 3, you use crypo.
That is the possibility that will happen if someone builds E-commerce on WEB 3.0 for now, but it is very possible if E commerce will be built on WEB 3.0 in the future.
If you have other opinions, please feel free to write in comment.
Thank You
