This month sees the release of some of the most ambitious film projects of the year, so the air is thick with anticipation. In the coming weeks, we will get to know the work of the great filmmakers in person and judge whether they have coped with the task of entertaining us.

Almost a quarter of a century after the spectacular "Gladiator" resonated in cinemas, Ridley Scott returns with its sequel - "Gladiator II". The story follows Lucius (Paul Mezcal) - the nephew of Emperor Commodus and, as we learned from the full trailer for the film, the son of Maximus.
The action takes place 20 years after the events of the first Gladiator. Roman soldiers led by Marcus Acacius (Pedro Pascal) invade the Berber kingdom and subdue it. Lucius' wife was killed in the attack, and he himself was sold as a slave and turned into a gladiator. However, the young man yearns for revenge on the Roman general and prepares to face him in the arena.
